Kansas: Johnson County Library to Consider Closing Three Branches

Johnson County Library officials are considering reducing hours at three branch libraries and possibly closing them altogether because of budget cuts, they announced Tuesday.
The Johnson County Library Board on Thursday will discuss the library staff’s budget recommendations, which would cut staff and services at all libraries and possibly close neighborhood libraries Cedar Roe in Roeland Park, Oak Park in Overland Park and Edgerton.

The three levels of recommended cuts range from $1.6 million to $3.2 million.
