Annotations: Hypothesis Announces New Partnerships with bioRxiv, MIT Press, and AGU

1. bioRxiv Selects Hypothesis to Enable Annotation on Preprints

Hypothesis and Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory are today announcing the selection of the Hypothesis open source annotation framework for the bioRxiv preprint service as their primary annotation mechanism. Over the next several months we will be working together to identify the launch requirements and complete any necessary work.

2. MIT Press Integrates Hypothesis Annotation in CogNet

MIT Press is adding Hypothesis annotation to their CogNet platform to offer collaboration tools to researchers in the brain and cognitive sciences. Enabling standards-based, interoperable workflow tools across CogNet provides authors and readers with robust annotation to streamline their research processes. In conjunction with the Hypothesis team, MIT Press will offer education and training for internal and external stakeholders to help them make best use of annotation capabilities.

3. AGU Launches Hypothesis to Facilitate Peer Review Across

We are pleased to announce that this month AGU is implementing a new way to review manuscripts across all our journals: Hypothesis. Hypothesis is a non-profit organization working to build open source software that enables annotation on digital documents. It is already being used in diverse fields including education, research, journalism and publishing.
