Texas: Port Arthur Public Library Cardholders Can Now Borrow Ebooks at Local Mall Using Virtual Wallpaper Display

One wouldn’t expect to find a public library inside Central Mall, but there is one. Only don’t look for bound books, shelves or library cards because those typical items are not part of a new virtual library that is the first of its kind in the state, and only the second in the nation.
Situated in the mall corridor outside of Beall’s and Dillard’s is a brand new colorful five-foot display large enough to accommodate hundreds of books, scores of songs and even 50-plus languages. All are assessible by one’s  electronic device.
Port Arthur Public Library officials premiered the Virtual Wallpaper project at noon Tuesday, and were there most of the afternoon demonstrating to shoppers how the new system works.
