EveryLibrary Institute Launches Library Advocacy and Funding Conference 2027

The EveryLibrary Institute 501c(3) announces the 2027 Library Advocacy and Funding Conference (LAFCON), positioning the three-day virtual summit as the sector’s primary intelligence partner for the upcoming year. This will be the 4th LAFCON conference that EveryLibrary institute has held. Running January 13–15, 2027, the institute serves as a critical tracking hub and training ground, analyzing how overlapping shifts in state legislation, local fundraising, and news media over the past year directly impact the operational longevity of libraries.

Libraries are navigating a rapidly changing environment. Over the past years, the intersection of aggressive legislative tracking, a changing philanthropic landscape, and shifts in publishing and local journalism have created a complex maze for library leaders. Because 98% of all library funding is determined through public and legislative processes, understanding these multi-sector trends is no longer just for administration; it is vital for institutional survival. Libraries need this intel to support our mission of serving communities.

LAFCON 2027 confronts these realities by serving as both a benchmark review of the past year and a tactical launchpad for the next. Public registration opens formally on August 15th, with promotional campaigns launching early in the month to allow institutional teams to secure budget approvals.
