Research Tools: University of Texas Law School Launches Database to Analyze Benefits of AI For Public Policy

The UT School of Law launched a new database designed to highlight the use of artificial intelligence across fields such as academics and government, according to an Oct. 31 University news release.
Researchers and nonprofits across the country developed the AI Opportunity Inventory database under the new UT AI Innovation and Law Program, which focuses on ensuring AI aligns with the rule of law. The project will collect data on the use of AI from government institutions, civil society organizations, academics and AI labs. Researchers from UT and Brown University will analyze the data to understand their public impact, according to the release.
