Are you a librarian at an academic library who would be willing to share about your library’s accessibility efforts? Consider completing the following survey. The survey is being conducted by Dr. Jennifer Steele with the School of Library and Information Studies. Dr. Steele can be reached by phone at (225) 578-0567, or by email at jennifersteele@lsu.edu.
This project, titled “Accessibility in Academic Libraries,” has been reviewed by the Institutional Review Board (protocol number IRBAM-24-0761), which ensures that research projects involving human subjects follow federal regulations. The survey contains questions related to accessibility efforts at your library and should take approximately 15 minutes of your time. The study seeks to highlight the importance of ongoing investment in accessibility, staff training, and institutional support to ensure equitable access for all patrons. Additionally, the researcher hopes to provide insights for library administrators and policymakers in addressing accessibility challenges in academic environments.
