Here’s the Full Text of Today’s Announcement:

EBSCO Industries (EBSCO) today announced the appointment of Annie Callanan as the new CEO of EBSCO Information Services (EIS), effective August 5, 2024. Callanan will replace Tim Collins, who announced his retirement in January after serving as CEO of EIS for more than 40 years.

“Following an extensive and thorough process, Annie Callanan rose to the top of a group of exceptional candidates. Annie’s knowledge of the publishing and information services industry, breadth of leadership experiences, passion for developing winning teams and cultures based on a shared vision for the future, and enthusiasm for growing businesses make her an ideal leader to build on the tremendous foundation already established at EIS,” said David Walker, President and CEO of EBSCO.

Having formerly served as COO of ProQuest, CEO of Quantros, and most recently as CEO of Taylor & Francis, Callanan has spent the past two decades focusing on strategically growing innovative and profitable businesses in the knowledge and information services sector.

“I am honored to lead EBSCO Information Services – a company with a strong brand and trusted reputation for exceptional partnerships and quality products,” said Callanan.  “This is a tremendously exciting time in the company’s history and our collective world history to drive the organization forward and expand its potential. I appreciate and value EBSCO’s and EIS’s commitment to growth, and I am eagerly looking forward to collaborating with the incredible teams in place at EIS to create the next chapters of success for the business.”
