New in Audiobooks: “Swedish Users of Storytel Can Switch Between Different Artificial Voices When Listening to Books”
From Dagbladet (via Google Translate)
Artificial intelligence has made inroads into literature. Now Swedish users of Storytel can switch between different artificial voices when listening to books.
In addition to the usual narration voice, various AI-generated voices are also offered such as:
- Carin, a female and slightly more mature voice.
- Amanda, a younger female voice with more energy.
- Erik, a soft and deeper male voice.
- Martin, a middle-aged man’s voice.
- Stefan, an AI-generated version of actor Stefan Sauk’s own voice.
The intention is to make the audiobook experience more personal, Storytel states.
