Association of Southeastern Research Libraries (ASERL) Publishes 2023 Annual Report
From ASERL:
Today the Association of Southeastern Research Libraries (ASERL) published its 2023 Annual Report, highlighting key accomplishments for the prior year.
- Headlining the report is an overview of an innovative leadership development programmed piloted at the University of Miami and followed by a second event at Georgia Tech. Both events sold out and received overwhelmingly positive feedback from participants.
- The report also describes ongoing organizational development work underway at ASERL, including updates to the Association’s strategic directions, mission statement, and values statement. Revisions to ASERL’s membership criteria — work that had not been considered in many years — is also highlighted.
- Another noteworthy event: A change in staffing. As a small organization with very few staffers, a change in personnel is big deal. In February of this year, ASERL offered our farewells to longtime Program Coordinator Cheryle Cole-Bennett upon her retirement and welcomed her successor, Rebecca Crist.
