International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA) Announces Extraordinary Elections 2022 Results For President-Elect and Treasurer
From an IFLA Blog Post:
We are pleased to announce the following results of IFLA’s Extraordinary Elections 2022, which determine the key posts of President-elect and Treasurer.
President-elect:
Vicki McDonald (Australia)
Treasurer:
Jaap Naber (Netherlands)
These extraordinary elections followed the resignation of IFLA’s previous President-elect and Treasurer and took place in line with the provisions of IFLA’s Statutes.
The President-elect has an essential leadership role, working with the IFLA President to provide inspiration and guidance to the Federation as a whole. Once their term as President-elect is complete, they will become IFLA President 2023-25.
The Treasurer will lead efforts to ensure the financial sustainability of the Federation, strengthening our ability to support the field into the long term.
Both positions start immediately and will serve their terms until the IFLA General Assembly 2023.
Voting for the elections took place from 13 June 2022 (09:00 CEST) to 4 July 2022 (12:00 CEST). For complete election results, see: IFLA Elections 2022 results.
