Video Recording: Confederation of Open Access Repositories (COAR) Notify Project (Overview, Use Cases, and Future Plans)
The video linked here and embedded below at the COAR Annual Meeting on May 17, 2022.
Video Description
The Notify Project was launched in January 2021 with the aim of developing a standardised model to connect repositories with other services, building on previous work of COAR Next Generation Repositories Initiative, the Pubfair White Paper, and a generic technical model that outlines the technical framework. While our initial focus has been on linking preprints and articles to peer reviews and endorsements, we are also documenting and exploring other, emergent use-cases. This session will provide an overview of the project activities, present the use cases from various project partners, and discuss future plans. There will be an opportunity for COAR members to ask questions and consider together the implications of this new functionality on the broader scholarly communications ecosystem.
