Emory University: Lisa Macklin to Serve as Interim Dean and University Librarian
From Emory University:
Currently, Macklin serves Emory Libraries as associate dean of research, engagement and scholarly communications. She oversees collection management, research and engagement, instruction and engagement, assessment and user experience, and scholarly communications.
“Lisa’s willingness to undertake this position demonstrates great commitment to the libraries and to Emory University and is an example of leadership at the highest level,” says Bellamkonda.
Macklin will serve in this position while the search for the inaugural vice provost for libraries and museum is finalized and until the new appointment is in place.
Macklin holds degrees from the University of South Florida and Texas Woman’s University. She received her MA in library and information science from the University of South Florida and a JD from Georgia State University.
