The Library of Congress hosted the first public meeting of the Copyright Public Modernization Committee (CPMC) on July 22, 2021. The CPMC is tasked with enhancing communication and providing a forum for the technology-related aspects of the U.S. Copyright Office’s modernization initiative. The meeting included an update from Library experts on the development of the Enterprise Copyright System (ECS) and a discussion about Copyright IT modernization with CPMC members.
