U.S. Government Publishing Office (GPO) Releases Fourth Edition of “Women in Congress” E-Book
From the U.S. Government Publishing Office:
Title: H. Doc. 116-152 – Women in Congress 1917 – 2020
From the Foreword by Zoe Lofgren, Chairperson
Committee on House Administration, U.S. House of Representatives:
This fourth edition of Women in Congress revises and expands upon the previous edition and covers the years 1917 to 2020. This update is timed to commemorate the centennial of the ratification of the Nineteenth Amendment, which enshrined into the Constitution the right of women to vote. This updated version also documents the dynamic changes that women have brought to Congress in the nearly 15 years since the publication of the third edition.
