New Resource From the National Conference of State Legislatures: State Legislative Responses for Policing-State Bill Tracking Database

From the National Conference of State Legislatures (NCSL):

State lawmakers across the country have moved swiftly to address issues related to policing in the wake of recent fatal police interactions across the country.

Since May 25, 2020, 18 states, Washington, D.C., and Puerto Rico have introduced 166 bills or executive orders addressing law enforcement issues.

Using NCSL’s new Legislative Responses for Policing State Bill Tracking Database you can track bills as they progress through state legislatures across the US and keep track of new proposals.
