Mississippi: Libraries Relieved as State Funding Stays Steady
After three years of budget cuts, libraries across the state are celebrating a small victory as the Legislature approved level funding for libraries Sunday.
In addition to no further cuts in the personnel incentive grants the Mississippi Library Commission, the package approved by the state House and Senate will cover the health insurance premium increase anticipated to take effect in January 2019.
