National Library of Wales Should be ‘Given Prominent Role’

The National Library of Wales should be given a “far more prominent role” by the Welsh Government, its president has said.
Rhodri Glyn Thomas raised concerns about the Aberystwyth facility in the wake of the vote for Brexit.

The Welsh Government said it recognises the “important role” of the library.
Mr Thomas described the library as a “unique institution”, and said the Welsh Government should use it to “to create a sense of nationhood and identity”.
