Canada: Vancouver Public Library to Begin Lending Musical Instruments
The Vancouver Public Library is starting a new project to provide musical instrument lending out of its downtown location.
The project is in partnership with Sun Life Financial and an official announcement will take place on Tuesday [June 7, 2016].
Sun Life spokesman Gannon Loftus said it’s the second city in Canada the company has helped launch an instrument lending program in.
Toronto’s Parkdale branch was the first — and Sun Life helped provide 100 instruments and $155,000 to the public library to help establish the program.
