1. New Alternative Textbook Grant Program Launches
Committed to supporting student success and knowledge sharing, the University of Kentucky Libraries has launched the Alternative Textbook Grant Program to encourage faculty members to adopt peer-reviewed, open access alternative textbooks or to create alternative textbooks for their courses. Faculty members may apply for one of 10 grants of up to $1,500 each to implement any curriculum change required for the use of alternative textbooks.

2. From the Government Publishing Office: University of Kentucky Libraries Named Official GPO Partner
The U.S. Government Publishing Office (GPO) is excited to announce the University of Kentucky Libraries as an official GPO partner. This partnership with GPO is designed to ensure long-term, public access to their tangible and digital collection of historical materials from the Works Progress Administration (WPA). In addition, UK Libraries digitized over 450 WPA publications from Kentucky and other southeastern states.
