Learning outcomes: This webcast covers a variety of topics regarding GPO’s practices in creating bibliographic data in OCLC and the Catalog of U.S. Government Publications (CGP). Participants will hear a brief history of the CGP and learn about GPO’s Cataloging and Indexing (C&I) Program, cataloging treatment, and bibliographic maintenance practices for U.S. Government information products. The webcast also discusses GPO’s special cataloging projects for which metadata can only be found in the CGP. It concludes with a summary of GPO’s recent achievements in cataloging.
