Coming Next Month: German Language Trade Publishers That are Part of Holtzbrinck Will Offer DRM-Free Ebooks
Hat Tip and thanks to Sebastian Posth for the following item:
German trade publishing houses owned by Georg von Holtzbrinck publishing group, including Rowohlt, S. Fischer, Droemer Knaur, Kiepenheuer & Witsch, will soon be selling DRM-free ebooks.
This means, that after Bonnier publishing group, all relevant trade publishers in the German market are offering their ebooks without DRM apart from Random House Germany.
The DRM-free ebooks will be available beginning next month.
Holtzbrinck is also the owner of Macmillan, Tor/Forge, Nature Publishing Group, and many other well-known companies.
