Dewey Decimal Classification: LA Public Library Reclassifies LGBT Materials
From a LAPL Central Library Blog Post:
An excellent and informative blog post LAPL Librarian Linda Rudell-Betts explaining why she worked to get the library to update the classification (Dewey number) (from DDC 14th ed. to DDC 22nd ed.) and then move the items to a new location on library shelves.
Kudos Linda! Kudos LAPL. Libraries still using old DDC numbers should do what LAPL has just done.
