Updated Statistics (as of June 1, 2015) About the Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC)
A post today on 025.431: The Dewey Blog from the DDC team at OCLC (publishers of the classification) included a chart with some updated statistics about, “the database associated with the English-language version of DDC 23.”
For example:

There are now 40,174 explicit numbers in the DDC schedules.
- Currently 29,552 mappings of DDC to LCSH (Library of Congress Subject Headings).
