The $26 million high density storage facility will be in Gainesville – connected to a similar one that is already full.
The deans of Florida’s university libraries have been planning a mutual facility since 2007.

The Florida Board of Governors approved the budget request in February and now it’s in the hands of legislators.
“If legislators approve funding, construction will start this August which means the facility could be ready as early as next November.”
