Digitization Projects: Chronicling America Expands with Addition of Newspapers From Maryland and the District of Columbia
Here’s a brief update From the National Newspaper Digitization Program (Library of Congress/NEH Partnership):
This week the Library of Congress began adding more historic newspapers to the Chronicling America Web site.
First-time contributions from Maryland and North Carolina, as well as many other newspapers, are being added to the 6.7 million pages already available from 32 states and the District of Columbia.
Interested in learning precisely when new content is added to Chronicling America? It’s easy!
Simply head to chroniclingamerica.loc.gov/newspapers/feed/ and add this feed to any RSS aggregator.
Would you prefer to get the RSS updates delivered via e-mail? No problem. One of the easiest and fastest options that I’ve found to do this is utilizing Blogtrottr.
They offer a free ad-supported option that I’ve used without a problem for about a year.
