California: Judge Transfers $480,000 in Recovered Fraud Funds to Sacramento Public Library

A judge Friday approved a restitution payment of $480,000 to the Sacramento Public Library Authority out of assets seized from three people convicted in a fraud case two years ago.

Most of the funds were recovered from a Folsom house owned by one of the defendant’s in the fraud case, former library employee Dennis Nilsson.
Officials estimated that the library lost approximately $825,000 in a fraudulent billing scheme that was first uncovered by the Sacramento Bee.
