The CrossRef Annual Meeting will take place tomorrow (November 13) in Cambridge, MA. It will be streamed live online.

We will begin with our Annual Business Meeting followed by industry presentations.
Our keynote speaker will be Heather Piwowar who is the cofounder of ImpactStory: Share the full story of your research impact and has previously worked at NESCent and Duke University. Heather will speak about alt-metrics, text mining and open-metadata
The program will also include Randy S. Kiefer of CLOCKSS and Kate Wittenberg of PORTICO as part of an archiving panel.
Kristen Fisher Ratan of PLOS will speak about DOIs for components and how they support article level metrics.
Additionally, Walter Warnick, Director of the U.S. Department of Energy Office of Scientific and Technical Information (OSTI) will speak about OSTI’s response to The Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP) public access memo and DOE’s collaboration with CrossRef.
