Canada: Stephen Abram Named New Exec Director of the Federation of Ontario Public Libraries
About five months ago (117 days/2808 hours ago to be more precise) we pointed out that info industry veteran and a very good friend/colleague/mentor, Stephen Abram, was moving from a VP job at Gale/Cengage and going to work as a consultant at Toronto’s Dysart Jones Associates.
Today, more Stephen Abram news!
Stephen has been named the new executive director of the Federation of Ontario Public Libraries.
In today’s FOPL announcement, Abram says:
“I am thrilled to be joining FOPL” said Mr. Abram. “This is a critical time for libraries in Ontario. Public libraries’ impact on our province’s economic and social success as well as in preparing citizens and learners to succeed in the new economy has never been more important and vital. FOPL is well positioned to provide advice and research to libraries to enhance their success, and the success of all Ontarians. I look forward to strongly supporting the efforts of the FOPL Board and members.”
