IMLS Shares Information About FY13 Funding as Obama Signs Appropriations Act into Law
From the Institute for Museum and Library Services:
On Tuesday March 26, 2013, the President signed H.R. 933, the “Consolidated and further Continuing Appropriations Act, 2013” into law. The Act provides $219,821,202 for the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS). IMLS programs and administration sustained a 5% sequester reduction, and an additional 0.2% rescission. These reductions were applied equally to each museum program and to the IMLS research and administration accounts. For library programs the reduction was achieved by allocating a 4% reduction for Grants to State Library Administrative Agencies and greater reductions to the national competitive grant programs.
