Oklahoma: Tulsa City-County Library Begins eBook Pilot with Freading
The Tulsa City County Library will pilot a new eBook service to make 22,000 titles available to library users.

Always Available eBooks, powered by library eBook vendor Freading, provides library cardholders with instant access to their chosen titles; no waiting and no “holds” queues. New eBook titles are added weekly to keep the selection fresh.

For library cardholders who already use the library’s Overdrive-powered eBook system, many Freading-provided books also can be read on the Overdrive App.

This service is funded by the Tulsa Library Trust. The library will offer the Always Available eBooks service through summer of 2013. If this service proves popular with library customers, the library will continue to offer it.
