Archives: Records Preservation and Access Committee Sends Thank You Letter to Governor of Georgia
Below is the full text of a note the Records Preservation and Access Committee sent to Georgia Governor Nathan Deal thanking him for working to fund the State Archives of Georgia.
According to a RPAC blog post, the letter, “express[es] appreciation for efforts to preserve a resource the genealogical community views as a national treasure. We urge continued efforts to find fair funding for the Archives.”
The Records Preservation and Access Committee consists of the Federation of Genealogical Societies, the National Genealogical Society, and the International Association of Jewish Genealogical Societies.
