Internet Addresses: Generic Top-Level Domain (gTLD) Applications Revealed

ICANN has just released a list of the generic top-level domains (gTLDs) that have been applied for and will eventually come into usage. Coverage from
Here’s a complete list of the domains and their applicants.
We’ve also embedded a PDF version of the list below.
ICANN has also shared this fact sheet about the applications (PDF).
Some of the gTLD’s applications you’ll find include:
.Amazon
.Apple
.Art (multiple applications)
.Author (Amazon is listed as applicant)
.Book (nine applications including ones from Bowker, Google, and Amazon)
.Cloud (seven applicants)
.Education
.Netflix
.School
As you review the list yuou’ll notice both Amazon and Google have applied for MANY gTLD’s. In some cases, both companies (as well as others) have applied for the same domain.
