Europe: Two New National Open Data Portals Set to Launch Soon
At a conference organised by the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications on open government data, the data portal was said to be ready at the end of February, and to be made available under the URL opendata.riik.ee. Currently the URL shows a place holder page of a Drupal CMS saying that a beta version of the portal is being finalized and tested.
The Austrian national platform for open government data will be launched in April, the project lead Roland Ledinger of the Austrian Chancellor’s Office said in an interview with ORF (Austria’s public broadcaster).
The new portal will launch with some 130 data sets, containing data from the mentioned cities, the national office of statistics, ministeries, as well as the judicial information system.
