Infographic: Online Sharing Trends in 2011, Facebook Makes Up 52% of Sharing on Web

The response to our infographic on sharing trends from 2010 was so high, we knew we had to follow up this year. Allow us to introduce trends in sharing for 2011. Beyond just the most popular sharing services, we’ve taken a look back at the most shared stories this year.
The growth of Tumblr during 2011. Sharing was up 1300%. Twitter was also up but only 576%. (-: Perhaps more libraries should be creating a presence on Tumblr, especially those that work with younger people.
