Ann Okerson New Center for Research Libraries Senior Advisor on Electronic Strategies

CRL has engaged Ann Okerson as Senior Advisor on Electronic Strategies, effective October 1. Ann Okerson served as Associate University Librarian for Collections and International Programs at Yale University, and is Chair of the Professional Committee of the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA) and a current member of IFLA’s Governing Board

CRL will draw upon Okerson’s wealth of knowledge and experience in its efforts to ensure persistent and affordable access for CRL libraries to electronic resources in the humanities and social sciences. Since 2007, CRL has licensed specialized databases through its Global Resources programs, and in 2010 added electronic resources to its annual shared purchase program. More broadly, CRL supports informed investment in digital preservation and electronic resources by its member libraries in the U.S., Canada, and Hong Kong.
