Japan: Report: Second Basic Plan for the International Library of Children's Literature
From the National Diet Library Newsletter:
Facing the almost-full stacks and the change of social environment surrounding children’s reading, the International Library of Children’s Literature (ILCL) has long reviewed its policy on service improvement and necessary facility upgrade based on the Report of the Board of Inquiry on Facilities for Children’s Books in the National Diet Library.
The review resulted in the release of the Second Basic Plan for the International Library of Children’s Literature which set out the new services to be provided and the facilities to be expanded as the foundation for such services. It was also decided to construct a new building within the premises of the ILCL to be completed in FY2015.
