Slides From Dr. R. David Lankes "The Future of Librarianship" Keynote Presentation (FLICC Forum)
Professor R. David Lankes gave a keynote presentation yesterday (May 18th) at FLICC Forum 2011 (Federal Library and Information Center Committee) held at the Library of Congress.
The presentation was titled “The Future of Librarianship” and Dr. Lankes made his slides available online (PDF) today. We think you’ll find them thought provoking and worthy of discussion with your colleagues.
As many of you know, Dr. Lankes is the author of The Atlas of New Librarianship published by MIT Press in cooperation with ACRL. His Amazon.com Author page has more including links to books from the bibliography.
An iPad app and web site is on the way.
Finally, we would like to say congrats, kudos, and well done to Dr. Lankes twice in today’s post.
1. On becoming a full professor at Syracuse University.
2. After only being available for a month, MIT Press has said they will do a second press run of The Atlas of New Librarianship.
