The “Honor Award” was announced today by the Arkansas Chapter of the American Institute of Architects (AIA).

From Arkansas Business:

A new Children’s Library and Learning Center is based on experiential learning, where children are educated through hands-on activities that teach life skills needed to become responsible adults.

The facility is 30,000 sq. ft. and contains approx. 21,000 books, DVDs, and CDs.

Central Arkansas Library System Little Rock: Hillary Rodham Clinton Childrens Library and Learning Center Wins Architecture Award

The library is part of the Central Arkansas Library System.

The facility was formally dedicated on July 8, 2013.
