North Dakota Senate Bill Calls for Removal of Content in Public Libraries
Many states have experienced proposed bills that would ban certain content some deem as obscene from public libraries and school districts to protect children. North Dakota legislators heard testimony on a bill that would propose just that.
Introduced on Jan. 20, Senate Bill 2307 calls for the removal of media deemed as sexually explicit and “lacking in serious literary, artistic, political or scientific value.”

Some colleges and organizations have expressed concern with the bill’s wording, which would include state agencies.
