President Barack Obama was the closing speaker at the 2021 ALA Annual Conference and Exhibition. He sat down with Lonnie G. Bunch III, Secretary of the Smithsonian, to talk about his memoir, “A Promised Land.” He also had a few things to say about libraries, librarians, and what makes him optimistic about the future.
