New Report: “Research 4.0: Research in the Age of Automation”
From JISC:
Jisc has supported think tank Demos in the production of this report, to enable an independent view of the impact of advanced technologies on the researcher and the research environment.
Demos undertook a series of interviews with leading researchers and academics to inform their findings, as well as a sector roundtable and extensive desk research.
A decade ago, Demos, supported by Jisc, published The Edgeless University. Then, they looked at how the internet, social networks and online collaborative tools were set to transform the creation of, and access to, knowledge.
Today, Demos is again looking at how technology is transforming academia, this time examining how the fourth industrial revolution and AI, in particular, are reshaping the research landscape.
