Vinnova, Sweden’s Innovation Agency, Joins cOAlition S

cOAlition S is pleased to announce that Vinnova, Sweden’s government agency for Innovation, is the latest funding agency to join the coalition and demonstrate its commitment to the realisation of science without publication paywalls. cOAlition S now has 19 members from across Europe, North America, Africa, and the Middle East.
Vinnova contribute to sustainable growth by improving the conditions for innovation, mainly through funding innovation projects and research needed to develop new solutions. Their vision is that Sweden is an innovative force in a sustainable world; a leading global player in research and innovation and a country that is attractive for investment and entrepreneurship.

Gary Price (gprice@gmail.com) is a librarian, writer, consultant, and frequent conference speaker based in the Washington D.C. metro area. He earned his MLIS degree from Wayne State University in Detroit. Price has won several awards including the SLA Innovations in Technology Award and Alumnus of the Year from the Wayne St. University Library and Information Science Program. From 2006-2009 he was Director of Online Information Services at Ask.com.
