Research Resources: USAID Launches Data Tool to Improve Development Cooperation
USAID has launched an online, public tool aimed to enable their staff and other users to access International Aid Transparency Initiative (IATI) data on the spending and activities of other development organisations.
The new Development Cooperation Landscape tool aims to improve the collaboration of USAID with other organisations delivering development activities within the same developing country.
By launching the tool, USAID hopes to better understand and comprehensively map the work of nearly 1000 organisations who are currently publishing their data to IATI, including bilateral and multilateral partners, the private sector, foundations, NGOs and others.
