Michigan: Oakland University Kresge Library Closed Until Further Notice Due to Water Damage From Water Main Break
From The Oakland Press:
Oakland University’s Kresge Library is closed until further notice.
A water main break was found overnight, causing standing water to accumulate. Restoration crews are currently on site to asses the damage, which impacted the first floor basement and the second floor main entrance to the library.
Wet spots and puddles were found on the second floor. The basement has over an inch of standing water.
From WXYZ-TV:
O-U’s Manager of Custodial and Grounds Constance Jones says police alerted her about the problem around 5 a.m.
“This level of damage is just something altogether different,” said Jones. “It’s a horrible situation, and it’s going to take a lot to get the library back open.”
