New Video: Watch the Film Digitization Process of the MDPI (Media Digitization and Preservation Initiative/Indiana University)
From the Media Digitization and Preservation Initiative (MDPI) (via YouTube):
Watch the entire film digitization process of the Media Digitization and Preservation Initiative (MDPI) in three short minutes as captured by Film Quality Control Specialist Charlie Allen using nothing but a Bolex, a tripod, a light meter, and 100 feet of Kodak 16mm B&W reversal film. This short film was shot “home movie style,” in chronological order and edited entirely in camera, similar to home movie collections now being digitized as part of the MDPI project.
