Indiana University’s Media Digitization and Preservation Initiative (MDPI) Releases Digitizing Film Guide
The film digitization phase of MDPI began in the fall of 2017, charged with digitally preserving 30,000 reels of IU’s significant and at-risk films to ensure long-term access for research and teaching.
As of October 8th we have digitally preserved over 7500 reels of film / 2100 hours / 2.8 Petabytes.
