University of Ottawa Appoints New University Librarian and Vice-Provost (Knowledge Systems): Talia Chung

The Library is delighted to announce that the Executive Committee of the Board of Governors has approved the appointment of Talia Chung to the position of University Librarian and Vice-Provost (Knowledge Systems) for a five-year term, from October 1, 2018 to June 30, 2023.
An experienced librarian and manager, Talia has over twenty years’ experience in the library sector and is currently the Associate University Librarian, Research Services, at the uOttawa Library. She has previously held many roles at the University, including Interim Director of the Morisset Arts and Science Library and Interim Director of the Health Sciences Library. Before joining the University in 2011, she worked at Canada’s Library of Parliament, where she held the position of Chief, Current Awareness and Strategic Analysis Section, and led numerous digital initiative projects. Talia holds a master’s degree in library and information studies from McGill University and a graduate diploma in computer science from Concordia University.
