Milestones: Ohio History: Archivists at Columbus Metropolitan Library (CML) Scan and Digitize 1 Millionth Item into Digital Collection
From CML:
Columbus Metropolitan Library (CML) archivists today [March 21, 2018] scanned and digitized the 1 millionth item into CML’s My History digital collection.
The item is a historical photograph that CML’s Local History & Genealogy division recently acquired. Taken from the Statehouse cupola, it is estimated to be one of the oldest panoramas of Columbus – shot most likely in 1858 when the cupola underwent repairs.
My History includes digitized photographs, postcards, newspaper articles and other documents that chronicle central Ohio history.
