Update: Two Library Employees Killed in Shooting (via Eastern New Mexico New)

Family and friends said Krissie Carter and Wanda Walters, both library employees, were killed.
Two men and two women were injured. Three of the injured were flown to hospitals out of town, officials said.
The extent of their injuries was not released.

The gunman surrendered after the shooting Monday and was taken into custody without incident after police entered the Clovis-Carver Public Library, authorities and elected officials with the city of Clovis said during a news conference. Warrants for his arrest were being prepared, but it’s wasn’t immediately clear what charges he would face.

The injured included two men and two women, authorities said. Some were taken to a hospital across the state line] in Lubbock, Texas. The extent of their injuries was not immediately known.

Clovis, New Mexico is a city of about 40,000 people and is located about about 200 miles east-southeast of Albuquerque and about 100 miles southwest of Amarillo, Texas. Cannon Air Force base is located about nine miles from the city.

Multiple people have been killed and others injured in a shooting at the Clovis-Carver Public Library, according to the Eastern New Mexico News.
Eastern New Mexico reports police surrounded the library just after 4 p.m.

From Eastern New Mexico News:

Vanessa Aguirre said she was in the library with her son when a man came in and “started to shoot” into the air.
“It all happened so fast,” she said. “We took off fast. My purse is still in there.”
Aguirre said she did not see anyone shot, but the shooter was still in the library when she left.
