Research Tools: PKP Index Now Includes 1000 OA Publications

The PKP Index is growing rapidly and now contains over 300,000 items from more than 1000 different sources.
The PKP Index is a database of articles, books, and conference proceedings using PKP’s free, open source Open Journal Systems, Open Monograph Press, and Open Conference Systems software applications.
Our goals are to:
- Provide a showcase of journals and monographs using our software
- Provide an opportunity for new publications to be indexed
- Build a multidisciplinary, international research database of open content

About Gary Price
Gary Price (gprice@gmail.com) is a librarian, writer, consultant, and frequent conference speaker based in the Washington D.C. metro area. He earned his MLIS degree from Wayne State University in Detroit. Price has won several awards including the SLA Innovations in Technology Award and Alumnus of the Year from the Wayne St. University Library and Information Science Program. From 2006-2009 he was Director of Online Information Services at Ask.com.
